When you’re ready to enter a new Team Member into the Oyster platform, you’ll have country-specific guidance throughout the process from Pearl, your virtual hiring assistant.
Pearl guides you through the hiring process by surfacing relevant information, such as the statutory, recommended, and best-in-class options for various employment terms. What’s the statutory probation period in Spain? What’s the required PTO in Japan? Pearl will automatically supply that information and make recommendations, so you can feel confident that you’re making a strong offer based on the candidate’s location.
Not only are you making a strong offer, you can also rest easy knowing that you're staying compliant with local employment laws and regulations.
Oyster’s automated hiring process is designed to offer you country-specific forms. The employment terms included and the information requested will be exactly what’s required for local compliance in that particular jurisdiction. The automated process is designed to ensure that you’re creating an agreement that’s locally compliant. You can feel confident that you’ve covered all your bases and avoided costly mistakes.
Once you’ve submitted the information necessary for a locally compliant employment agreement, you can invite the new Team Member onto the Oyster platform to add their details and upload their documents.
No unnecessary paperwork or processes. No back and forth or waiting for clarification. Our automated system ensures that the right information is requested, and having the new Team Member enter their data themselves reduces the possibility of errors and confusion. Onboarding is quick because all the formalities are completed in one place.
Both you and the new Team Member will be able to track progress using the ‘process highway,’ and if things are slowing down, you’ll be able to see why at a glance. Your new Team Member will be impressed by just how efficient and seamless the onboarding process is.
The last step of the process is reviewing and signing the agreements. To date, creating the employment agreements has occurred outside the Oyster platform, but it will soon be brought into the platform, as the final step of our end-to-end automated hiring process.
With this feature, you’ll be able to immediately generate compliant employment agreements with the Oyster platform, without having to wait for a human to create one for you. After your new Team Member submits their details during their onboarding, you’ll be able to review a draft agreement. Both parties will be able to review the draft and request any necessary changes. Once you are both satisfied, the admin will be able to ‘verify’ the agreement and eventually both parties will be able to sign it—all within the platform.
This July, the UK will be the first market to get access to automated agreements, but it will be expanded to other countries over the coming months. Being able to sign agreements within the platform will also be rolled out throughout the second half of 2022.
