It’s an exciting day for the Oyster team! Today we announced the launch of Oyster Academy.

What’s Oyster Academy? It’s an educational program designed to prepare employees, job-seekers, HR professionals, and distributed companies for the future of work.

Oyster Academy was developed internally by Oyster, and includes online courses for different experience levels and roles. For those looking to get a better understanding of the building blocks of distributed work, our Distributed Bootcamp program within Oyster Academy is designed to teach the basics of distributed working for beginners. In it, we focus on essential concepts and tools, while also providing veterans of distributed work some more high-level resources to brush up on their skills.

Our Distributed Bootcamp Coach program is created for leaders and members of the People Team who want to understand what it takes to develop great distributed working skills within a team or organization. This program will not only help them train their teams on the foundations of distributed work, but also empower them to implement best practices and tools that will enhance communication and collaboration across their remote and distributed teams.

Those who complete each of the programs are presented certifications they can use to promote their distributed working skills to prospective employers. These certifications let employers know that someone is poised to thrive in a remote work environment and has the skills and tools needed to succeed in a globally distributed company.
