It’s no secret that the past couple of years have caused many of us to change the way we think about work. Companies around the globe have been shutting their headquarters’ doors for good and making the shift to remote environments, but the impact has been much greater than simply eliminating the traditional approach to an office. A lot of companies have leaned into the flexibility that comes from having no HQ and have embraced things like flexible work hours, four-day work weeks, and most notably, cross-border hiring and global employment.

We sat down with leaders from Lingo Live, HiBob, and Officevibe to hear their take on the opportunities and challenges that come along with this new world of distributed work. Here’s a peek at some of the insights our expert friends have shared. Stay tuned for the full videos in the coming weeks!

Levelling up distributed leadership to meet talent where they are

As Tyler Muse, Founder and CEO at Lingo Live puts it, this new working world has “released the shackles of physical proximity.” People are calling it different things—the great resignation, the great reshuffling—but at the end of the day, a talent renaissance is happening and the power dynamic is shifting. For this reason, leadership development in a distributed workplace is crucial.

Driving team engagement with the right technology in place

Annie Rosencrans, Director of People and Culture at HiBob, spoke about how we can create more diverse teams now that we’re not limited by borders. This approach breeds innovation and ultimately makes for better companies. But the challenge can be driving engagement when we’re not in-person. She highlights how technology is the foundation of a successful distributed workforce, because without it, you aren’t able to operate effectively.

Replacing work-life balance with work-life synergy

When we spoke with Julie Jeannotte, Senior HR Expert and Researcher at Officevibe, she shared how she believes we have a huge opportunity to build a future of work that feels more human. The work-life balance we’ve strived for is now being replaced by work-life synergy. Work-life synergy comes with a stronger focus on wellbeing and being able to bring our whole selves to work—being able to talk about things like mental health in the workplace in ways we haven’t before.

Embracing the new wave

Building an all-star team shouldn’t be limited by borders. Alongside our partners, we’re on a mission to make it easier than ever for growing companies to hire, pay, and take care of brilliant employees—wherever they are in the world.

Stay tuned as we dive deeper into the world of distributed work with Lingo Live, HiBob, and Officevibe with more videos in the coming weeks!

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
