Oyster product updates July 2026

Oyster Team

No matter how complex your global employment needs become, we keep growing our infrastructure, platform, and services to simplify the complexities.

Announcing the latest key updates to help you scale global hiring with less friction. From a major update in how you can hire in the Philippines, to a new HRIS integration that keeps your data in sync, to faster ways to get support from Oysrter—our latest releases are designed to save time, reduce uncertainties, and keep your team moving. Here’s what’s new—and why it matters.

Hire in the Philippines, Directly Through Oyster

For companies building global teams, Southeast Asia has become one of the most strategically valuable hiring regions — and the Philippines stands out. The country ranks 2nd in Asia for English proficiency and offers a mature, growing talent market across software development, digital marketing, customer success, and operations.

Hire in the Philippines, directly through Oyster

Oyster now operates our own direct legal entity in the Philippines. This means companies can now hire talent in the Philippines directly through Oyster as the Employer of Record, with no intermediaries involved. Here's what that means in practice:

  • Faster, more responsive support: Issues are fully handled by Oyster's internal team, reducing resolution times and eliminating third-party handoffs.
  • Payroll with more flexibility: Monthly payroll cut-off is the 15th of each month (instead of the 6th), giving finance teams more time to submit changes.
  • One unified platform: Contracts, payslips, time off, expenses, and benefits are all managed in a single Oyster workspace.

If hiring in the Philippines is on your roadmap, now's the time to move forward. Our Philippines Hiring Guide has everything you need to get started.

Oyster’s HRIS integrations keep growing: Factorial is now live!

Keeping employee data consistent across your HR tools might be easily overlooked, until a missed update creates a payroll error or a compliance risk. In addition to our pre-existing integrations, Oyster now integrates with Factorial. Through this integration you can auto-sync new employee details, contract changes, and time-off requests between both platforms, so your records stay accurate without any manual effort.
